Please Help Me, I need professional Advice
Im young not even eighteen yet 1 year under that, i workout every other day with weights and do like cardio/ab workouts inbetween those days, well today i thought i felt a little itchy down there near my anus when i was wiping my anus earlier in the day, however didnt think much of it, tonight after i got done doing my ab workouts and all that, i showered and when i was cleaning down there i felt a bump! i was like OMG wtf IS THAT??!! i didnt start freaking i tried to stay calm, i looked at in the mirror and panic kinda set in, its like a bump the size of a bean sorta, i showed my mom and she said its a hemroid due to me lifting heavy weights without a weight belt, and im really angry now, like *** wat should i do about this?? i told her i want to see a doctor about it, but sigh i see that its a fairly common problem but can someone with experience give me some advice on what to do? should i even continue lifting weights now?? or what? i've really gotten into weight lifting and its part of me now, i dont want to give this up due to a DUMB bump near my friken anus! SIGH STRESSED!

this is the wrong place to ask if you are looking for professional advice, you should go to a doc.
your description is pretty pale. when you say a bump, is it on the skin or underneath? does it hurt? i am afraid you have to use a photo to help your discription... alternatively, you can just go to your doc... |

this thread should be moved to general health.
You should really seek a doctors opinion. |

Man this is really strange, i swear to god there was a ball the size of a bean right near my asshole, but then i read that water and whole wheat consumption can reduce the size, so before i went to bed i ate some wheat and drank a obttle of water and today when i woke up i was scared to check but i did and its gone now, wtf does this mean? was it a sis? i dont evenv know if i should workout today... and do you think that when i bench i should wear a weight belt?

While a diagnosis over the internet is not possible, from the symptoms that you describe, you have hemorrhoids. Only a visit to a doctor can confirm that though.
First of all, hemorrhoids are not life threatening. They may be a pain in the ass, but they're more of an annoyance than anything else. And they can also bleed if you scratch too much. Secondly, they're not rare. They occur from frequent heavy exertion, such as lifting. Wearing a belt while benching will do absolutely nothing to prevent them. Sorry. Not wearing a belt is not the cause. They can be removed surgically if necessary. I had them when I was in my middle 20's. I'm sure technology has greatly improved in the past 25-30 years, so you need to see a doctor to find out what your options are. I was told that I could continue to lift while I had them, but to stay away from going too heavy. I started lifting again 4 weeks after surgery, so you probably won't be out of commission too long. And finally, go see a doctor. Last edited by Triple Threat : 01-10-2007 at 11:56 AM. |
