    Pregnancy training?

My wife's 19 weeks pregnant today, and is wondering if there is anything she can do to help the pregnant figure? Her Dr. told her she can do lunges, and walk on a treadmill. Anyone have anymore suggestions?

What I can say is make sure you look into some nutrients/special vitamins for pregnant women to help the child develop properly. We studied in psychology that there's a few critical nutrients will give the child a much better chance of developing extremely well.. Take a look into that, google something like 'pregnancy nutrients' or vitamins.

She is currently still on her pre-natal vitamins, and as of today she's starting Expecta. I have no idea what that is, but it's supposed to be good!?!? The Dr. also mentioned something about possibly needing Iron towards the end of the pregnancy.

She could try pull ups... that would certainly add new meaning to the term weighted pullups.

Milk is for babies. When you grow up, you have to drink beer.

She can exercise harder after she has the baby. Just get her blood flowing through cardio.. 30-45 minutes a few times a week should do it...

Actually, her body will be primed for exercise and fat loss after she has the baby. If she waits, it'll only get harder to get in shape and lose any fat.

DOMS is right, but your conecern should be the development of the baby not so much as how hot your wife looks for the few months coming ahead. She can easily fix herself, but a well developed child is a much better gift than having your woman be 10 lbs lighter.

get her a trainer that specializes and is certified in pre and post natal care. Do some research and find someone good who will take care of her and write her a great program.

I train a pregnant woman now...she's due in like a month. We just take it easy and a little slow and I never have her lay on her stomach or flat on her back.

She is in very good shape. Once she has the baby, we are estimated she will have another 10lbs or so to lose to be in awesome shape. I'm not certified to train pregnant women or anything, but she's one of our best clients, and we communicate very clearly with each other and she's doing great.

Are you certified in pre/post natal training?

If not.....you are taking a huge liability!!! Are you watching her heart rate when you train her? Also, when she comes back, there are certain things you can not do because of where her body is at during that post natal period.

I am not. The training is not intense at all, lol, she brings her children with her and they are attached at the hip most of the time.

The company that I work for is liable. Not that I could live myself if something were to happen.

She's having a C-section if that matters at all...
