    Home-Gym Equipment!

Hello everyone! I am a rookie to the forum needing a lil assistance.

I am in the process of putting a home gym together. If money was not an issue, which brands or companies should I check out or stay away from.

I just brought a pair of powerblock dumbells but have no clue to what type of bench to get. I would also like some input on Powertec's Leverage Systems if anyone is familiar with them.

I have a goal of adding 30-40 lbs. of muscle mass to my 6'2'' 210lb frame. I am 23 yrs old and have not lifted weights in 4yrs. so I guess I would be considered a beginner. ( If that helps any.)

    Thanks!

I have a York power rack with free weight pulldown attachment and pullup bar. I also have a few sets of dumbells, and a dip station.

Ooops forgot about the adjustable bench.

Keep it simple, a Decline/incline/flat asjustable bench. Some kind of squat rack and either a lat machine or a lat bar on top of the squat rack.
Thats all you need along with your DB and say a olympic Bar with weight.
    Cool

You can buy a 300 lb set from sports authority for pretty cheap compared to everywhere else.. comes with 45lb bar, two 45's. two 35's, two 25's, two 10's, four 5's, and two 2.5's. Then later you can add weights for sumthing like 30-50 cents a pound.

I have a Lat Pull down which has a low pulley, a Smith machine, a Adjustable bench, a free weight rack, a combo Leg extension/leg curl, a Multi Station pull-up/dip/push-up thing, dumbbells, around 600lbs of free weight, a Treadmill, various bars and attachments, and a punching bag.

I use the home gym around once per week. It's great to have for those days when you cannot make it to a gym, the gym is closed, or just do not feel like leaving the house.
