First off why is it I can OH Press 225 for 4 reps, but barely get 265 for 4 on bench? Secondly why is it I can squat around 450, but cant even dead that much? This is so wierd to me, anyone got any explanations?

could be technique reasons. the other lifts might just not be good lifts for you. probably lies somewhere in the way you perform the lifts though. By comparrison, what is youd deadlift?
post some videos of the said lifts and lets see what the technique looks like between them.
I know, but as far as my bench goes I have always practiced the best bench possible.
I go to my lower chest, while keeping my shoulders pinched back. Back flat on the bench ever so slightly arched. Heels dug nicely into the floor pushing back, pushing my shoulders into the bench. The bar goes directly up, not over my face, but directly up. Hell i even squeze the bar as hard as possible. Just doesnt make sense to me. I mean I think I have the proper form.
that explains it. in that case its normal. if ur OLY squats were more than ur dead it means u have a faulty technique or massive muscle imbalance. i think.
Well see I dont know anyone who squats more par. than they dead. And most of my buddies are weight lifters. Maybe we can get some insight I am going to start a thread see if anyone else squats more than they dead.
^^^yeah thats true. but u know what i think most ppl will say if u dead more than u squat? they'll say ur not trainign the dead correctly, or ur doing it after squat, or u have muscle imbalance, or u have faulty technique.
I cant remember who told me this, but they were saying there was a powerlifted who unsuited actually squats more than they dead. Wish I could remember who.

I don't understand this at all. If you can dead MORE than you can squat, then why would you be training the dead wrong? Shouldn't it be training the squat wrong?
Have you tried platform DLs? Keeping the bar on the floor, stand on a platform (or plates). Start about 2" high and work up to 4-5". This will force you to start from a lower point. It's supposed to help with the drive off the floor. Lower the amount of weight you're used to, since this lower position is more difficult.
No Trips I havent done that in a very long time. Eventually whenever I get back into that I will do em. I am taking a bit of time off of powerlifting, however wanting to know if anyone else was wierd like me?

i dont mean to sound like an asshole, but several of those big guys over at www.intensemuscle.com and www.forum.bodybuilding.com with totals of 1500+ told me this. i dont know for myself because im a weakling. i was merely telling DD what ive been told because i once asked this question and i got not only bashed for it but ripped apart because i said "not true".

Do you think Benedict Magnusson squats more than he deadlifts?
Not exactly Trips. If my dead form was correct I should be able to dead more. I need to watch you and Stew a little more.
Maybe TT, but not me DD...I would not recommend my deadlift form to anyone, maybe, just maybe my sumo deadlift stance I would let you watch and take pointers on, but my conventional is just shit, so don't be fooled by the numbers I put up, I will be the first to tell you it's bad form. I use too much back and don't get low enough at the beginning. I am getting better, but nothing I would be willing to let someone copy.
now on bench, I would let you see my form, on squats too, but you don't need help there, but not deads....
