Training is known to fuck the immune system up, and a flu shot is basically a shot of the flu virus (but weakened) to allow your body to destroy it and build up antibodies against it. So there is a small chance that you might come down with the flu if you train. Nothing wrong with taking today off if you are worried, better one day today than the rest of the week if you get sick.

If you have a flu shot, you have the flu.

Would you lift if you had the flu?

    No.

So no, dont lift. Why risk making yourself sick?

Yes, really. Thats what vaccinations are. Weakened forms of the immunogens of the appropriate disease or infectious agent so that your immune system can get rid of them...thus developing a natural defence in the event a full strength form of the disease/infection gets into you.

yeah, they're just that, a weakened form... not strong enough to actually allow you to contract the illness. Someone receiving a hepatitis shot doesn't in a sense 'have hepatitis'... it's all semantics I guess.

If its enough to evoke a response from your immune system its enough for me not to piss with it .
