    Chest exercises

I have a flat bench in my home gym. I need some other exercises to do for chest. Flat bench really nails my shoulders. What else can I do to sort of isolate my chest? Push-ups also hit my shoulders hard. I want to do an exercise that chest hits my chest.

    Exercises you could try:

    Uni-lateral DB bench press
    fly's
Medicine ball chest passes to a wall or a partner
    Decline DB bench press

Yeah, I forgot to mention that I do not have any DB's yet. I'm saving for power blocks. I guess I could do flys with 25lb plates.

Yes I need something to dips on also. Can you link me something that explains pullovers? My bench does not incline. I am getting a stand alone bench that declines and inclines in the future.

Another cool one is incline pushups - narrow grip or weighted
You can do them one arm at a time too.

if your going to incorporate pullovers into your program make sure you put a pulling exercise such as face pulls to balance them out

    Could you elaborate on that?

My chest and back routine will look like this:
back: dl, bent over rows, pull - ups
chest: flat BB bench, some type of push- up, pull- overs

I second that. Not arguing but i've been out of the loop for a while so there may be something i'm not aware of.

I was thinking about it. The thing is I work on the road a lot and that pretty much puts a stop to all my weight training. I haven't been out on the road in 2 months so I have been training really hard. I have a show coming up in 2 weeks and I will be gone for 10 days. Ah maybe I'm just belly aching over nothing. I will ponder the journal idea a little more. Thanks Bakerboy.

Have you tried a 1 and a half bench press? You lower the bar, bench press half way up, lower it again, then bench press all the way up.
