    Muscle recuperation question

    Hello,

    I am a route driver for a soda company and I am consistantly lifting cases of pop on a daily bases (except weekends). I get a lot of cardiovascular workout everyday, and some heavy lifting. The heavy lifting isn't extremely heavy either. The most may be 50 Lbs. But I am consistantly lifting the product everyday.

    O.k., so my question is, how do I gain muscle and gain a little (not a lot) of bulk when I have this type of job? I ask because we are supposed to rest and only work muscle groups every other day or three times a week. I work them 5 days in a row at my job. How am I supposed to get the proper rest and recuperation in order to gain muscle?
    Do I still need to workout with weights during the week and on weekends in order to gain?

    I also ask because the other guys I work with lost a lot of weight, but they are not built nor very toned. Some of them have been doing it for more then 10 years. You would think they would be ripped, but they are not.

    So my main concern is still obtaining a great looking, toned physique even though I have this type of job. What must I do?

    Just train with weights and skip the cardio.

    Oh and eat like crazy.

    Your body has probably adapted pretty well to the work you do. I'd say just train like anyone else. I don't think that the job will interfere with recovery as long as you get enough sleep and eat right.
