OK guys - I've been at this a while now but I've never put my routine up at the mercy of you guys. My reason for doing so is because since I split my routine, 2 months ago, I have mysteriously stopped gaining on benchpresses (same problem for my training partner too) - and I'm wondering whether its because I have introduced deads and am busy gaining like a fury on those week on week. Anywho - any comments welcome
Monday
Bit of cardio and situps
Bench Press 3x6 (&1 set lighter weight to failure for chuckles)
Deadlift 3x8
Reverse Grip Pullups 3x10
Bicep curls HIT 2x8
Forearm Extentions DB 3x10
Wednesday
25mins running for cardio
Friday
Bit of cardio and situps
PullUps 3x10
Shrugs 2x8
Squats 2x8
Calf Raises 2x8
Reverse Leg Extentions 2x8
I'm seeing good progress on all the exercises except bench which if anything seems to be going backwards (though I am due a rest week) and havent changed technique or anything like that. Over to you chaps - thanks in advance!
I would double the number of sets on the calf raises. From personal experience, 3 sets are not even that effective. And I agree with Double D. You can definitley fit in another day.
No Milk, no.
Milk is for babies. When you grow up, you have to drink beer.
Please read and comment on my journal
I would add a few sets of push presses and military press, also add some tricep work. close grip bench, skull crushers etc etc. front delts and triceps play a huge role in benching.

Unfortunately due to work I can only train weight on Mon and Fri (just at the moment - I'm hoping that will change by the summer) but I will definately increase the tricep work and add either a military or incline press. Thanks guys for the feedback!
Why not add some pullups/pushups on your day with no weights? Atleast add something which can help with stimulating muscle growth. I got 2 kids, work 60-80 hours a week and I can find the time. I just dont buy it.

I'm guessing you dont spend all bar Mon and Fri evenings 150 miles away from a gym.
The pushups are though a good idea and I'll take that on board. Thanks.
I'm a consultant and when I work away the client wants all they can get out of me. I do manage to do some cardio on a treadmill in the hotel gym on Wednesdays but there isnt really anywhere close to me with decent weights.
I'm sure doing some press ups will help and I do appreciate the feedback - thanks all!
