Abdominal Exercises??
I have been doing ab exercises at the end of my workout for a year now and unfortunately have not seen significant progress.
I work out 4 days per week and was planning on working my abs only twice per week. This is a huge leap for me, but I am hoping that it will work in my favor. I am looking to add more depth or "pop" to my abs so I was thinking that I would do mostly cable pull downs and knee lifts with a dumbbell between my feet. I would also incorporate normal crunches to my routine. Do you guys think that this would be a reasonable change for me? Do you have any suggestions or things to aviod? And yes, I know that roughly 75% of a 6 pack is nutrition..... this is the excercise aspect I am requesting about. Thanks guys!! |

I'd say ab visibility is nearer 97% diet, 3% exercises.
A six-pack is made in the kitchen. If you want to some exercises to strengthen your abs, or improve their stabilisation do Planks, Birddogs, Lying trunk extensions etc. |

I do weighted crunches + "the one where u sit edge of bench and bring legs straight air" at gym 4x week, crunches normally in evening 2x30 normally front left and right obliques.
Doing normal crunches for about a year I didnt notice much, but since I've been doing this, I'm noticing alot more. |

I think that's overtraining like crazy, but if it works for you I guess it's good.
