    Romanian and CONVENTIONAL deadlift?

Conventional deads go all the way down the floor, the barbell that is. The momentum stops before you lift again. "Like lifting a dead weight."

Romanian goes down to passed your knees/mid shins.
    6' 203lbs (12-10-12)
    Bench 365 (12/3)
    Weighted Pullups 80lbs 3x3 (3/19)
    Squat 370
    Deadlift after herniation 385lbs 3x3 (3/17)
    NASM certified 2/06

Aye, for the most part your legs stay in a slightly bent position throughout the RDL so the movement is just at the hips, but in a conventional one they almost straighten out so the knees are used too.

What do you mean? When you pick the barbell off the floor, the knees are more flexed than they would be during a romanian.
