Sleep pattern's

I've been reading that you need to get a good night's sleep in order to grow muscle but I've read on the forum that some people get up at midnight to drink protein. I would think that interrupting your sleep pattern would have negative effects. Any one know how this works???

Weight lifting is like " Mind over Matter". If my body doesn't mind---the weight doesn't matter!!!!!

I would only do that if you are a true hardgainer and need the extra cals/protein and can easily return to restfull sleep. If not than it is not worth it.

Also if you have been sleeping for awhile some serious bodybuilders do get really hungry in the middle of the night (not only hardgainers) and they have to feed their muscles, so it's best to have the shake ready to drink. So instead of taking a sip of water and going back to bed, they just drink their protein drink. ...and then go back to bed.
