Symmetry

My right side is larger than my left and thats ok some places and not others, imo.

My right bicep is 17" and my left is 16 1/4. My wife says she can't see that much difference. But what really bugs me is my lats. My right lat goes a lot longer down my side then my left does. Or thats how it appears.

I do not like the way that looks in the mirror. I can barely see the dif in my bi's but my lats don't look right.

How long does it take to get better symmetry? I do back once a week. Or what are the excersizes that will help this? I've been doing my pull downs cg and wg. I'm willing to sacrifice some areas of my back right now to do extra work on my lats. Or will I just be overworking them?

thx

I used to have this problem. I just worked each side evenly and things just balanced themselves out.

If you think they are really that bad, just work one side and not the other until it is even. I don't think that is a good idea though.

Maybe it's the lighting.

No Milk, no.
Milk is for babies. When you grow up, you have to drink beer.

yeah.. i noticed that when i look in the mirrior in my room my abs look lopsided...
but then about 5 minutes later i realized that

a) my mirror and my overhead light arent lined up
b) my mirror doesnt face straight back at me

and most shockingly

c) one side of my face is taller than the other

after noticing "c)" my abs were no longer a concern...

Unilateral work doing only the amount of reps you can do with your inferior side.
