    when this happens to me, I just switch the TYPE of cardio to low impact (my favorite is the treadmill on a random hill). Just be sure to make it challenging. I do this for two weeks (HIIT) and 1 week of low impact for about 35 mins.

    what speed on the tredmil is a challenge for you?

    9mph is a challenge for me. i usually run around 7-7.5mph

    Im still very wary of treadmills (after watching a guy come flying off one while doing sprints and almost knocking himself unconsious on the console!), but instead of increasing the speed, when i feel i need more of a challenge, i increase the incline. Gets the heart rate up every time!

    Yeah, maybe i'll do incline, around 6 or 6.5 (or raise it depending on how i feel). Do that for a week, then go back to HIIT training for 2 weeks.
