Alternating Hand Ball Pushups
Stuck in a rut? You guys have to try this. I had a medicine ball today and played around with it for a bit and did a couple sets of these. Any ball will suffice as long as it is sufficiently hard to resist breaking or deforming much when you hit it.
Pushup position with one hand on the ball. Explode upwards and while in midair, pass/roll the ball over to the other hand. Come down and land with the other hand on the ball. Repeat, passing back to the first hand. Toughest horizontal pushups I've ever done. You guys have to try this. |

No Milk, no.
Milk is for babies. When you grow up, you have to drink beer. Please read and comment on my journal |

I do lots of pushup exercises with medicine balls, but have never done something explosive like this. I'm somewhat concerned about the possibility of wrist injury from misplaced hand after the swap, ball slips out, etc. All of mine are generally static, controlled movements with assurance of a solid placement on the ball.
I dunno...maybe I'm over analyzing here. |
