I never have or ever will use bowflex anything.
I'm working with regular 10lb dumbbells now, and would like to move up in weight. I have a pair of 20lb dumbbells, but they are too much of a jump.
I was reading about the Bowflex SelectTech Dumbbells, 220 and 552, and am wondering if that isn't the way to go?
All +/- comments will be appreciated.
Thank you,.....

I have a pair of like dumb bells, they aren't bowflex though.
I don't get the bow flex design for their adjustable dumb bells. It is really unneccassary and defeats part of the purpose for dumb bells.
However, I think adjustable dumb bells are good. I have a pair in my basement that go up to 50 lbs in 2.5 lb increments, very easy to use. Good thing to have if you experience really bad weather or car trouble, basically anything that prevents you from going to the gym. You can really do anything with them, and if you aren't training specifically for pure strength, you can do fine with them.
I have used adjustable dumbells before and do not like them (I used the kind that are like metal cages, (PowerBlock) they rotate in my hands and the metal frame rubbed against my forearm.). At home I have some plate mates in various wts to increase the dumbell wts from 1-1/4 to 5 lbs.
