    Question Max every other week?...

hello everyone, since i learned that it was ok to workout muscles every 3-4 days if you are 25 and younger ive been trying to rearrange my weekly routines..
i came up with this from this
    Original
    Mon-Chest/Shoulders/Tri's
    Tue-Rest/Cardio/abs
    Wed-Legs
    Thu-Rest/Cardio/abs
    Fri-Back/Traps/Bi's/Forearms
    Sat-Rest/Cardio/abs
    Sun-Full Rest

    Revision
    Mon-Chest/Shoulders/Tri's
    Tue-Rest/Cardio/abs
    Wed-Legs
    Thu-Rest/Cardio/abs
    Fri-Back/Traps/Bi's/Forearms
    week1: Saturday-1rm(all muscles)/ Full Body workouts
week2: Saturday- High Rep/Burnouts(for all muscles)
    Sun-Full Rest

My main question is, Is it ok to do my 1 rep max for all muscles every other week or should i have more time? anything else you can find wrong please tell me. thankyou

I don’t see the reason to max out, other than ego. You can confirm your getting stronger each week by keeping your rep scheme the same and adding more weight, or by using the same weight with more reps.

Most competitive power lifters don’t even max out. They check they check their progress with triples.

To refuse to learn anything that could prove beneficial to yourself is a working definition of stupid!

High-intensity training is going all-out, not almost all out. It is taking one set to one's absolute limit, not almost to the limit. It is using whatever equipment’s available. It is not the words of two or three men, but a commitment to work as hard as possible while in the gym without socializing, resting excessively between sets, or falling prey to the 'this isn't going to work so I'll copy the star' attitude"

If you must max out, you might want to try this.
Use your regular workouts to test your max.
Week 1, do maxes on Monday and regular workouts on Wednesday and Friday. Week 2, do maxes on Wednesday. Week 3 max on Friday. Take one week off from maxing, and then repeat cycle.

When i used to lift for strength only i'd only max 1 time pwer month. Then i switched to maxing about every 2 weeks like you're doing now , and i f***** up my shoulder. I kinda agree with Mick u can tell if your getting stronger without maxing.
