My hands have been taking a beating lately and its time to get me a parir of gloves. I previously (six years ago) had a pair of Harbinger's(sp) that I was pretty happy with. I can't seem to find the same pair though, so I'm looking for suggestions.
Not looking to break the bank here on $100 pair of gloves, just something to save my hands.
I have a few pairs of gloves and they are Harbingers (sp). They are good gloves. However, I rarlely use them any more, I just do not need them like I thought I did when I bought them.
What the hell are gloves? Sack up and deal with it, your hands will only become more durable.
Sack up...is that anything like "Quit your bitching and act like you've got a pair"? Because thats one of my favorites.
I had considered this life of defense for the problem. Anyone else?
I use a pair of black, leather, Weider gloves that I got at Wal-Mart for around $10. :)

I have a black pair of Harbinger gloves. The friggin things just won't die. I got them at Dick's for like $15.

I've got black leather gloves with wrist support from Fitshape. 25$ but they're really comfortable.
I did buy a pair a long time ago and used them a few times. I have not used them in quite awhile. Last Friday I was doing low row and one of my caliouses split wide open. It hurt like hell but didn't really stop me from lifting. I considered using them again, but I haven't yet...

I fully understand gloves to help peops with super sweaty hands, safety first!! I won't hate on that. But the whole soft hands thing? Please. Tell yer wimmens to sack up as well and deal with rough hands. Nancies.
edit: As a climber, I know all about rough hands. Nail files work wonders on really rough spots, while still keeping the hands durable. I suggest this method as opposed to gloves. The hands will be able to withstand more abuse (a good thing), but still be a little soft for the, eh ehm, sensual stuff that ladies like.

Ocelots. $25 at Dick's Sporting Goods. They have great wrist wraps.
I use Ocelots too - they work fine for me. Its nothing to do with grip strength or being a man etc. I have a professional job and spend a good portion of my time meeting other professionals and shaking hands. Rough hands wouldnt work so good for me. So I'm happy with gloves. It doesnt make life any easier with lifts IMO and its personal choice.
Ok just got back from the Sports Authority got me a pair of Harbingers similar to my old ones. Though I'm not sure if I'm in love with the velcro strap. At any rate $10.59 and I'm out the door.
