water retention and cramping

I started cutting and lost a lot of water weight the first week or so. I have noticed I am starting to cramp up more often when i run. A bare bone of my diet:

milk
cottage cheese
oats
banana or apple
whey
brown rice
spinach
lettuce
red meat
chicken
yogurt
tuna
onions
peppers
eggs
sweet potatoes

I am keeping a close ratio 40/40/20

my question: what causes cramping? how can I avoid it without shifting too much of my diet around? could it be im just not getting enough water? any other thoughts?

heh no midol jokes

Salt causes both of those. So do steroids . There are other things that suggest that it's got something to do with potassium deficiency or electrolyte balance or magnesium overload and then other stuff that says nitrogen toxicity will do it aswell. nitrogen toxicity is from too much unnuetralised protein burn off causing a sugary acid to turn over causing the nitrogen. which messes with your fluids and a glass soda water will fix almost immediately. Although when you 're haaving a cramp the fastest way to get relief is just to stretch it out. It could be that you're just not getting enough water,. but maybe try adding in a cpl of long glasses of sodawater every now and then and see if that makes any difference and make sure you arre stretching occasionally.

Hope that helps.
