crossfit

Hello everyone, I am not an avid poster here and havent even checked in lately, Ironmag started my BB routine years ago. Ive discovered something called Crossfit and wanted to post it here for the readers...I feel I owe it to someone or something as this forum used to be my info home.

I was a BB all the way for 3-4 years, until I learned of Crossfit. If your goal is fitness and looking good, this is it. one thing though...no more curls, lat raises, crunches aka "non functional fluff with minimal metabolic response"

definition of crossfit- functional movements performed at high intensities in a constantly varied fashion.

this program PUNISHES specialists, I learned this the hard way as I used to specialize in BB.

All the good aspects of BB are still there SQT, BP, DL, OHP plus a whole lot more that BB's are missing.

Welcome to CrossFit: Forging Elite Fitness

IMO you can have bodybuilding and whatever else. Doing curls and lat raises does not prevent you from being athletic.

Yes I do, read the first post..he made it sound as if you can't do "isolation" exercises and still do other things. You can do as he calls non-function fluff and still do

BBs are definitly athletes, having a muscular physique naturally improves fitness, however it is also based alot on appearance. And because of the appearance factor, people believe training in this fashion is the way to train.

Think about the ultimate goal of BB, to be as big as nature will allow. the kings of this sport (BB) are hardly functional athletes.

Mostly diet, cardio assistance.

I agree BB's can be called athletes but to call someone stupid & a dumb fuck for having a different opinion to you just makes you look like a 3 year old. I am guessing you are a teenager.

Don't worry - one day you will feel secure enough within yourself that you won't have to try and make yourself feel better by belittling others from the safe vantage point of the anonymous computer terminal.

Offering constructive advice to others may assist them, and if you are open to differing opinions you may even learn something yourself. But I doubt you will really hear what I am saying, so throw in another intelligent come back if you will, but you will be talking to yourself from this point on as I have nothing further to add unless you contribute in an adult like manner.

look at the site today,

the workout of the day yesterday was front squat 1-1-1-1-1-1-1

another workout would be run 800m, 50 back extension, 50 sit ups
3 rounds for time

some more examples of a crossfit w/o;
120 dips
120 pull up or chin up

once in a while you'll get a 5k run

you never know what your gonna get it is so unlike a routine, there are thousands of w/o combining, gymnastics, power lifting(very functional), BB, rowing, kettle balls and so much more
