Leverage squat good for mass/strength?

Hi everyone, I can get a great deal on a used leverage squat machine from TDS (similiar to Powertec one) and Im wondering if they are a good piece of gear. I do barbell squats now and Im up to about 240 for 6 reps, however I lift alone, dont have a full cage, and have been experiencing some lower back strains/pains as I edge toward my late 30s

Anyway, just thought I could get this and really go balls out without having to worry about balance and back issues. They all have a calf raise built in so thats nice too(another thing I dont have). Anyone ever try one of these? Thanks

By the way, heres a link:

if you are feeling low back strains and pains, this is not going to make them go away. Because of the way the machine is set up (levers) it is very easy to load up weight on this, which will mean greater spinal compression. Figure out what is wrong with the back and then go from there.

Hey, thanks you make a good point although in a lot of ads for these machines they say it reduces lower back strain/compression, but I dont know...

How does it reduce it though?

Spinal loading is spinal loading.

I have used a machine like this, and felt quite uncomfortable, I could feel the spinal loading in a bad way, never had that feeling with squats. Definately try one first.
