Leg Problems

Hey everyone, nice forum.

I'm in need of a bit of help from my fellow bb's.
Last July, I messed up my leg. It was either from a squat or from a minor barbell bang on the front bone of my leg. The pain came out of no where so I can't distiguish what it was.

Anyway, the pain is coming from the front of my leg. Here is a picture to better understand the spot:

Anyway, I took time off the gym to rest my leg and after a couple of mths, it eventually went away.

So I started hitting squads, deads, lunges, etc again but the pain came back again, this time a lot worse. Again, it came out of no where, not during a particular excercise.
So again, I took time off. I haven't worked my legs out in mths. This time, it's not going away. I'm starting to workout my legs a very but but theres no chance that I can do the big excercises. I only do light weight with curls, and extensions plus calves.
Basically, I can't do any squat movements at all or put pressure on my left leg. If im sitting down and I stand up with force on my left side, I feel a sharp pain. If I walk up stairs, it kills my left leg, I have to put most of the pressure on my right side. Any sitting to standing movement kills.

Anyone have any suggestions?

At first I was thinking it was shin splints, but once you got further into the explanation I changed my mind.

There's a possibility you are experiencing chronic anterior compartment syndrome, but I'm just speculating. Do you experience any numbness in your foot/ankle? Does it hurt to dorsiflex (Try to raise toward the sky) your big toe?

I would see a doctor about that. Diagnosing stuff over the Internet is hard, but I just threw a guess out there.

The only time it's bad to feel the burn is when you're peeing...

hey, thanks for the response.

I don't feel any numbness at all, just sharp pain.

It usually hurts when I jog. This morning I was jogging on the treadmill and it was killing but when I started to sprint, I didn't really feel the pain. Kind of odd...

The dorsiflex stretch doesen't bother me.

I'm going to see a doc soon but I wanted to try a few things and get it sorted out on my own before I went to see him. Plus my doc is a moron so he wouldn't help much.

Could be a small muscle tear. Those hurt--even small ones.

If your doc is a moron why not go to a sports physiotherapist?
