getting older, joint pain
Hey everyone, not new here but it's been a long time. I have been having a really hard time lately avoiding injuries. Joint pain mostly. My back is better than ever, but my elbows, knees and wrist are killing me lately. I have seen a Doc about my elbows and he suggested a steroid shot?? I am telling you I am getting ready to hang it up if this continues. I am 44 and going backwards, help!!!!!

You could try some supplements like glucosamine, chondroitin, and MSM. Fish oil can also do the trick with the right dosage.
However, you may also want to re-evaluate your training and daily activities. What types of things irritate these nagging injuries? It's better to get to the root of the problem than just bandage it up. |

I'll be 47 next month and am addicted to Glucosamine, Chondroiton, MSM. You can get all 3 ingrediants together at a pretty reasonalbe price. My joints will definitely let me know if I run out and don't take them for a week.

Pound fish Oil. I got my buddy who plays baseball in college to take it after shoulder surgery and he say says its never felt better
Aim for aound 3 grams of omega 3 for me that takes 15 pills from the costco brand aday |

I'll soon be 41 and the only supplements I take are ZMA, Creatine, and Guaranį. I can tell you stories about joint pains, too. But I think you want to know how I got rid of them. I did a lifting program where everything was between 15 and 20 reps. Six weeks later all the pain was over.

I'm 44 as well. I get pains but they always go away. I don't worry about it other than to give them a rest and avoid exercises that makes it worse. My guess is that it just takes longer for the joints to adapt than the muscles.
Anyhow, I base my recovery time on that. Sometimes I workout 4 times a week, sometimes 1 time a week. I just don't see the point of hitting the gym if I don't feel my body is ready. At first I didn't see that, it was 4 days no matter what. |
