    Question Van Dam Stats?

I was watching T.V. last night and saw that Kickboxer was on, I havent it in years, but anyway, I never payed much attention before but Van Dam's arms are pretty huge in that movie. There has been alot of bi stats thrown around on here the past few day so I just wondered if anyone happened to know any of his stats.

    Thanks Everyone.

I saw him at the Hardrock Cafe last year, he goes about 5'6-7 maybe 175. He's about he same size as Wesly Snipes.

I have heard that he was shorter. But man 175, he sure looks bigger than that. Well I guess that can do anything with camera tricks. I heard that in Rocky movies they shot Sly from low up at an angle to make him look taller. They probably do the same in Van Dam movies.

    Thanks for the feedback.

i'ts amazing what being symmetrical and being ripped will do for the apperance. Sly is the same way, the only movie he was carrying a lot of weight in was Cop Land.

I once met JC van Damme in person at a Tae Kwon Do event in Anderlecht, Belgium
(since he's Belgian and lived 35 miles from us - Belgium's a small country).

He's just about my height (5"7 1/2) but packed a lot of meat in those days (I'm talking 4 years back here, so ..).

And yes, his french is still a lot better than his English will ever be ...

(His original name is Jean-Claude van Varenberg, which is originally a flemish name, so ...
I might have the genes too )

I recently bought the "Rambo Trilogy" 4 DVD set. If you watch them back to back in order (I was really bored that night) you can see Sly's transformation from a cut guy, to a bigger cut guy, to an even bigger cut guy.....added a little size each time I guess. Anyway, at around 175 at his biggest in these flicks, all the ladies I know think he's all that and a bag of chips! This makes me happy 'cause my build is closer to his than that of a real bodybuilder or professional wrestler.

LAM is correct, JC Van Damme is aorund 5-7" 170lbs. He is a small guy, has good symmetry and he stays pretty lean, so on camera he gives the illusion of being much bigger. Of course lighting and camera angles have a lot to do with it as well. I would say his arms are a genetic strong point, but probably only around 17".

hmm, yeah supposedly he is a womanizer, who knows... he has been married I think 3 times, but probably many men in his situation would act similarly.

When he was young he was small and skinny, go figure.

They only use small actors in movies with Jean claude etc.
If they do happen to have someone big in there, they will just avoid having Jean Claude (or whoever) in the same shot, this of course allows us viewers to be tricked because we never see these people near someone avarage size
