    Question Newbie to training

    Hi there

Wondering if anyone can help me, i used to do a bit of training a while ago, just thought to myself hell i'll start again cause i hate looking like i do now.

But i need some info, when i say some i mean loads!

Firstly anyone know a real good training system as there are so many, whats the best? also i need a good training diet as well.

Im very serious about getting my arse in gear on this one so if anyone can mail me that would be cool, or if they post here.

    Cheers

    Welcome to the board Jon!!

There are plenty of good routines here, check out the main page as well as peoples diaries.
For your diet, check out the nutrition board.

Feel free to ask any specific questions you may have on any of the routines or nutrition tips.

Surf around (lurk), see what others are talking about, but ultimately you have to find what works for you. There is no single "best" routine, even the pros use different methods and schedules, as well as certain excersizes.

One thing most people will agree on, is for size stick to basic excersizes for adding size and strength, pay attention to your sleep schedule and how you eat.

ah what i was gonna mention was that i had saved a page from the main site anyway as it had a training reigime. problem is it had a column with 4-6 reps. question i would have is how do i know how much i should be lifting. i know my bro had the wieder system a while back but he died in a bike crash about 1 half years ago, it had a formula to work out the rep weights such as max lift and you have a percentage of that, now im gutted as i cant find the system and it was very good. so anyone know any ways to work it out.... sorry about the essay hhehe.
