    Questions for a routine

I've decided that I personally don't want to be very large, I want to be very lean with a lot of functional strength. Not sure exactly how to say it, but I sort of want maximum control over my body, not necessarily the ability to lift large amounts of weight.

I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for a place to start or specific types of exercise to look into - am reading the stickies as I type this. I was thinking bodyweight exercises with an emphasis on very slow, controlled reps to hit the muscles from absolutely every angle possible, and a lot of compound work with weights. A LOT of core training.

First priority will be leaning out within the first couple of months. Term paper hell is almost over, so I can focus much more on consistency that I could the last couple of weeks, especially with the summer coming up. I'm estimating myself at 16% BF or so at ~153lbs, so 2 months is a pretty reasonable amount of time to lean out I think. That is roughly 10lbs of fat to lose, so about 1.5lbs/week after I start.

My diet is already pretty decent from forming one on the D/N section a couple months ago, but I am going to revamp it again to change a few things I didn't like.

Basically want to try and set up a routine now so that I can have a trainer that P-Funk recommended to me ( thanks ) show me how to perform any exercises I don't know after the semester ends.

I basically just read the first paragraph and know what you mean.

Do things that involve your core as well as strength:

    Standing OH Press
    Unsupported Db Rows
    Deadlifts
    OH squats
    Etc.....

Pretty sure if P recomends you a trainer all will be good!
