    Lightbulb Supersets?!

i saw couple ppl doing this at the gym the other day thought it was pretty weird, so i went home read about it and seemed pretty affective. so what i dont understand is u do 3 diff types of exercises for one body part witout rest then do u rest and repeat the sets again?

i.e. bicep curls dumbell then bar curls then pull ups repeat 2 more tymes? i am confused.

supersets are when you combine two different exercise....

    push up
    squat

    or

    bench press
    row

etc...could be upper lower, could be non-competing (as in my first example).

Great way to train, save time in the gym, develop balance (ie push and pull supersets), improve work capacity, etc..

It's just doing 2+ exercises in a row without rest.

    Benchpress 10 reps
    Bentover row 10 reps
    1min rest
    Bench press 10 reps
    Bentover row 10 reps
    1min rest
    Benchpress 10 reps
    Bentover row 10 reps
    1min rest

    That is:
    A1 Benchpress 3x10
    A2 Bentover row 3x10 @ 1min RI

Edit: P beat me to it.

WB - you have to include the time that the 2nd exercise takes to complete in your rest period if you want to be really accurate. At the moment your rest between sets of bench would be closer to 1:30, a 50% increase, maybe more depending on tempo/setup time etc.
