Possible to lost 10lbs in a week?

This isnt my question, another retard on anotehr site.

He says its mostly water (Eventhough he says he is burning fat)

now is this possible? and is it good to lose that much weight in water and probably not so much fat.

Its possible to lose 10lbs of weight yes. 10lbs of fat, not at all. Your losing alot of water weight along with god knows how much muscle had to be lost during this time.

I cant really comment on this to the fullest. I have always heard the first weight you take off is water. But I think Jodi or P would be able to knock this one out a bit better.

Bodybuilders try to eliminate as much water from their bodies before contest time.

don't even think about attempting to loose 10lbs in a week. That is extremelly unhealthy and anyone in the medical field will concur. Think about it: roughly 3500 Cal= 1lb. Meaning you have to be sheding over 3500 a day to achieve that (excluding the factor of water weight, and providing you had zero Cal intake!!). It's super unhealthy, very difficult to achieve, and should not be of any interest.

like Double D stated, losing water is what bodybuilders do to look shredded FOR CONTEST ONLY. it is only temporary and is not a good environment for muscle growth.
if you want a better looking physique, lose fat...

Your not losing 10 pounds of good weight. On top of that your dehydrating your body.

Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.

Oh man..look there is about 3500 Kcals in a pound of fat (dunno how accurate that value is but it's close). So 10 pounds of fat times 3500 is WAY more than you can expend reasonably in a week.

Dropping water is not good. If you're bloated, it might be okay, but most people are't in a naturally bloated state. Losing water is BAD. Water is the most important molecule in your body. If you lose 10 pounds of water, you are dehydrated, and if you lose more, you will die. Anyone who tells you to exercise in sweats or to put a garbage bag around you is guilty of insufferable, dangerous stupidity. Anyone who recommends something like that should have the shit beat out of them.

I've only heard of fighters doing it with a sweat suit etc - but they're definately losing water weight and it usually spells bad news for them in the ring...

I'm 34 - when am I officially an old fart?

Not that the thread starter is a prime example to be on the Biggest Loser, but the men on there repeatedly lost over 10lbs a week. Some of them in the 20s, but were talking about some fat fucks.

Women were usually 1-5lbs a week.

6' 209lbs (8/16)
Bench 360 (11/29)
Weighted Pullups 80lbs 3x3 (3/19)
Squat 370

it actually pissed me off when i told them not to lose water weight, puts your body at risk and bad condition, but as they always say "prove it" i had to ask you guys. Thanks for the info.

Personally, Im a water addict. I drink about 4-5 litres of water throughout the day. Im always bloated lol. My parents complain and bitch about me drinking so much water bottles and stuff. Water is friend .
