    Try this

instead of usuing the dip station, try this- place 2 oly bars in the power rack and do dips on them. i did them and it felt like my muscle tissue(sp?) near the upperchest/armpit was gonna rip . was great though. try them sometime.

Sounds great. Why use a piece of equipment made for that specific exercise when you can tie up one of the few power racks?

    Brilliant...

That sounds like a great way to fuck up connective tissue in your shoulder, thanks for sharing.

What did you seek to reap from doing this???

I think that you misunderstand. He's talking about placing two oly bars across the supporting bars of a power rack.

If you're still not clear about this, it's not your fault; your I.Q. is too high. You need to think down a bit. Ask yourself, "If I were a dumbass moron, how could I rip my pec/delt tie-ins and fuck up my shoulders?"

Oh. I guess there'd be extra effort needed to stop the bars from rolling.

They actually have a dip attachment that goes onto the power rack at my gym. I just go into the other room where there is a dip station so I don't tie up the power rack. It does have a pull up bar on it though and it's the only one in the gym so I do use it for that.

Next time you want to do bench press, a good way make it hit your tri's more is to use the dumbell rack. Take all the dumbells off it and lie on it like a bench. Its pretty much the same, you're more likely to injure yourself by falling off, with the added bonus of annoying the fuck out of everybody in the gym.

This reminds me of the old guy at my home gym that uses the rinser in the steam room to take showers...

I don't know what's wrong with this guy but there's the rinse shower in the steam room you pull on the chain to get some cool water on yourself real quick but there's this old guy that holds onto it and gives himself a full on shower with it, shampoo and everything, which doesn't let any steam stay in the room the entire time (like 20 minutes+ ) not to mention there's a nasty old naked guy in there rubbing cold water on his balls...

Don't use equipment for the wrong purpose, it just pisses everyone else off.
