Deadlift
I find it much easier to do it with my grip inside my legs as opposed to outside (so I spread my legs a little bit more, and bring my hands closer together).
Is it ok to do this? |

Yeah, I did sumos for the first time when I realized I forgot to wear my long pants on my deadlifting day; I think I am less inclined to bleed my shins when I lift sumo style.
My question is, is there any practical difference between the two besides hand position? I felt like the sumos were harder overall and worked the adductors and the glutes more so I was wondering if that was just pyscological or if there's actually a difference. |

Less strain on the lower back, less ROM, more weight (for some), more adductor work, easier on the grip (for some).
Verdict: preference is subjective. |
