I'm right handed so I assumed it would be the larger of the two, but apparently not. My left bicep is 1/2" larger than my right. Anyone else this way???

Everyone has something different from the other. Just look at Jay Cutler.

If it's not obvious I wouldnt worry.

I love it when a plan comes together.

Oh I'm not worried or anything, I'm large elsewhere so it all blends in. Not muscular large, but large all the same.

My left bicep is bigger, and I have more strength in my left arm (both push and pull), but I am a righty.

I once had a PT tell me this wasn't uncommon at all. Why? Since we are right handed it is sort of our 'high rep, endurance' side. The left gets more rest and tends to be the stronger, but not as good at endurance. Not sure if I believe that, but several people have observed the same thing as us.

I am the same way. The left is about half an inch bigger. I always thought it would even out with time, but I was wrong. So when people ask I just flex my left haha.

I suppose the test would be grabbing some 20lb DB's and curling to failure for each arm.

This phenomenon is an overcompensation of the left to keep up with the right. The right arm of right handed people is probably 15-20 percent more efficient from a neuromuscular position. The other arm has to accomodate for this lack of efficiency by muscular cross-section increase to keep up with the other arm when doing exercises with both parts of the body.

Summary: the left arm will get bigger to be able to keep up with the much more efficient right arm.

So what about ambidextrous people.

What about them? Obviously ambidextrous people don't have this problem.

Me too, pretty much exactly as you described (Non-dominant arm bigger than the dominant side).

Maybe it's because your left bicep is getting more rest?
