LA Fitness
The gym I go to (Pure Fitness) just got bought out by LA Fitness. Anyone ever been to one? Good/Bad experiences? I'm pretty excited because it sounds like we're getting some upgrades (ie pool, sauna, basketball, and handball courts).
I wish my lawn was emo so it would cut itself

yeah man, ur in washington I see. I am also and the 4 locations around me are either gone or have become LA fitness. I can't believe pure just up and sold out in like a months time. my homey personal trains at an LA fitness in the east coast and he gets by so I think theres not gonna be much change. I am pretty bitter about how pure fitness fucced us all like they did though, what about you

I thinks you mean curves....
Its got to be heartbreaking for women who have memberships at that place... all in their 40s - 60's overweight and _EVERY_ frickin curves has a "Cold Stone Creamery" within 2 doors left or right of the entrance... Its almost like a sad and true method for extracting the most amount of cash from the senile female population as could be designed.... ![]()

The LA Fitness gyms here in Tampa, FL are equiped with every piece of equip you could ever want, I'm not into the pools and courts, but the workout area is about 30,000 square feet, with a separated beginners area

Holy crap, I went to an L.A. Fitness when I was in Portland [I'm Canadian], and I friggin' LOVED it!! NOBODY was using the squat RACKS [as in, more than one rack was there!!], nobody was benching, nobody was using friggin' any weights. It was goddamn beautiful. The other ladies stuck to the cardio rooms, too. Um, so did the men.
My own gym in BC blows ass, and a lot of it, ESPECIALLY compared to L.A. Fitness. It's kinda trendy, and kinda prissy, but, at least they have clean equipment, the "social lifters" stick to machines, and if the ones who are in the weight room and don't know what they're doing, are at least fun to watch screw up. In defense of my disgusting gym, here, I must say, it has character that L.A. Fitness lacks, but not the equipment. |

LA fitness has great facilities iv been to all three in my area Philly suburbs but iv ran into some real shitty management. I came in for a tour and they were assholes, and at a different place I got kicked out cause they blamed me for breaking the basketball rim apparantly cause im tall which was bs. Then they took my friends id telling him they were gunna retake his picture and they wouldnt give it back and told him he wasnt allowed back. but then again thats just the management around here
