How long have you been training? How much do you weigh? What kind of numbers are you throwing up on core lifts (Bench, squat, dead, row, etc.)?

Depends.

Do you want to wrestle, or play football?

Just work on being athletic. You are 14. If you are any good it will work out for you.

Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.

Then, honestly, you should just be following a well balanced low to moderate intensity resistance training program. You need to work on grooving good motor patterns and strengthening connective tissue. You will see both neural and structural adaptations using weights that you can handle, in good form, for 12-15 repetitions for the first few months.

Check out my sticky on designing a resistance training program. At the end I give a very basic sample of a full body beginner's program for resistance training.

Um, well that isn't true. Receivers, safeties, cornerbacks, and quarterbacks do not require much size, if the player is gritty.

But, 6 feet @ 158 is really pushing it.

Yea i know what you mean, when i started lifting i woke up one day and was as big as Arnold. It was a pain in the ass cause i never wanted to get that big so i had to stop training for a while to get rid of all that extra muscle that i inadvertently put on. Be very careful of how you're lifting because it MIGHT happen to you.
