Starting up again
hi, after an operation that has kept me out of lifting for 10months im trying to get back into it. as it was on my hand iv been able to play soccer etc but iv lost all my muscle gains and defenition. i have lifted a few times in last week or so and my hands feeling ok so im goin to start a new regime - 2 day split working out every day.
I workout at home so iv tried to work around what i got at my disposal. does this look ok for the next month or so till i get back in the groove? workout A - torso bench press 10 x 5 fly/db press 10 x 5 (i do 10 flys with dumbbells then go immediately into 10 presses) Upright Row 10 x 3 Bent Over Row 10 x 3 shoulder press 10 x 3 workout B - legs and arms squat 10 x 3 good mornings 10 x 3 leg curl 10 x 5 leg extension 10 x 5 barbell curl 10 x 3 hammer curl 10 x 3 reverse curl 10 x 5 tricep extension 10 x 3 I have protein powder and NOexplode to supplement and also sida cordifolia to try rid some of the fat and keep energy up. i will be doing these every day and i usually see gains very quickly. i am also a keen cyclist so could do more biking if that would help? iv always seen best gains from resistance work so i am trying to concentrate on that (especially for first month so i can build my base levels up - iv run through the sessions and although their hard going i should be able to manage them every day) my main questions are am i missing any important excercises out in this 'first phase' regime and also is it ok to work out every day with that split? thanks in advance steel |

Its not a good idea to workout every day with ANY split. 3 or 4 days a week is usually enough, you grow outside the gym when you rest - not inside it.
My advice would be to read the training stickies in this section.
