    Lift twice a day?

I am wondering if it is ok to train in my lunch break and then finish off my routine after I finish work?

    eg.
I am doing a p/rr/rr/s rotation this week is rr week 1......
Today is upper push day so on my lunch break I did flat bench and body weight dips, and after work I will do military press and core work.....

My main worry is maybe this could lead to overtraining or hinder my recovery?

The reason I do this is because I sometimes work long hours and find it difficult to fit in a hole routine at the end of the day, and I hate missing a session.........

    Thanks, from Samo..............

Ive done it from time to time, but Id never make a habit of doing it. Its stressful on the CNS and I dont even want to talk about caloric intake and out.

The times I did it was because of schedule distractions on other days. In any case, I did it maybe 3x a year.

It really depends on the level of need. Sometimes the reward doesnt outweigh the work.

I can see hitting a different muscle group in an AM/PM fashion, but hitting your chest and then coming back to finish it up seems almost pointless.

Go by what your body and mind tells you everyone is different when it comes to recovery time.

I don't train muscle groups anymore I train push pull verticle and horizontal movements, but if I was you will see that I trained chest and tris in my lunch break and shoulders and core after work so I am not going back to chest after work.......The only muscles that might take a bit of a battering are me triceps, but they can take it.....

I can see the point you are trying to make tho', so cheers for ya responce

    Peace.........
