    hormone release when doing compounds

Iv read in several places & in many articles that performing heavy compounds such as squats & deadlifts cause the body to release testosterone and growth hormone.

My query is what other hormones are released when performing these movements & what effect on the body does this have other than building muscle tissue eg Does it effect bone tissue or organ tissue etc? Thx

catacholamines are also stimulated (epinephrine and norepinephrine). cortisol levels also rise as exercise contiunes for a longer period of time. insulin and glucagon are working depending on what is going on during your workout etc...

for the skeletal system, axial loading helps to stimulate osteoblasts to increase bone mass density to adapt to the higher amounts of stress being places on the body. this is why it is so important for women to exercise with a high intensity and do things which directly load the axial skeleton (like front squating, etc).

thx for the reply bro what does axial loading mean?

and could the reasons above explain why most BB'ers seem to have fairly large skulls/jaws?

The large skulls and jaws are usually down to Steroids or HGH etc.

loading of the axial skeleton. Basically, things that load the body.

Bone will only remodel itself in areas of stress. So, for example, if a woman wanted to prevent osteoperosis/penia in the spine, she would need to do some sort of loading on that spine.....squatting...front squats, back squats, DB squats, etc.....to illicit that sort of adaptation.

    make sense?

HIT Cardio does the same thing. Exercise's like sprinting or at least thats what poliquin say.

I read somewhere that 80% of your lifts should be compound and its something I try to follow for the most part
