DB Lateral raise

1st post so hi to everyone
Just wondering what sort of poundage you use on db lateral raises.
Ive just changed my routine and am struggling with 26 pound.
Im 43 years young
5'6
180 pounds
been training for 1 year

26lb lateral DB raises is pretty heavy for someone thats only lifted for a year.

This is an exercise that you dont go heavy on unless its necessary. Heavier lifts are for overhead presses of some sort.

i do 35's with strict form for 12 reps...
6'2'' 230 22 yrs old training for 5 yrs...

Thanks guys not as bad as what i thought then.Maybe ill try dropping to 24 pounds to complete 4th set stricter.
