Just use a cable or do a different rotational movement.

You can get bands and do them that way. Even Sports Authority has some cheap ones that are sufficient.

yes it works with DBs. Hold one hand on each side of the bells.

If you have to hold the dumbell with your arms extended for the entire set it becomes more of an anterior delt exercise to me. You'd have to use too much weight for your delts, because the dumbells change the angle of force (gravity instead of the cable) which makes the exercise easier.

Kudos if it works for you, but I can't do it properly.

Agreed. You are supposed to pivot with your legs so that you aren't twisting your spine all over the place. Not to mention pivoting at the lower body more effectively causes weight transfer, which is a skill you a looking to train with PNF movements like this.

Ugh, and that guy has shitty posture as he does them, and on the first one he just kind of stops before he finishes the movement.
