Whatsup Guys and Gals,
Im going on vacation with my wife September 1st, and I always hear people being able to lose 30lbs there first month,, and I know the second month you usually loose alot less... My goal is 40lbs in two months,,, possible?? Healthy??

Currently my diet(just started yesterday) is 900-1000 cals a day(couple cups of coffee with powder creamer, a couple of bananas or other fruit, and 1 can of tuna for dinner(possibly two) ,,, and Im going to try to burn that everyday at the gym doing some form of cardio.

If yall can throw me any tips that helped for yall, appreciate it.

218lbs
6'1

This is dangerously unhealthy behaviour. Please go and read about dieting in the nutrition forum and ask the members there. Id give you more advice, but i honestly dont know that much about it.

What i do know though, is that a HEALTHY rate of weight loss is about 1lb a week. Your calorie intake is FAR too low! 1000 a day? 2500 is the reccomended for a male.

Find out how many you would eat in a REGULAR day (not dieting) and reduce this gradually (a few hundred calories a week, 200 or something) while on an exercise program.

Dieting isnt about slashing calories in half, its about eating the right foods to give your body the right fuel to function. A healthy inside will reflect a healthy outside.

For the love of god, dont end up killing yourself because you want to rush the weight off yourself. Trying to lose 40lbs in two months will very likely put you in a vulnerable state, health-wise.

You are 6'1 218lbs and want to lose 40 lbs?

Healthy - no!
Your cals are ridiculously low, and done for longer terms can start to screw with your metabolism.

K I will up my intake 300 more calories.. Maybe I should change my goal to 30lbs in two months.. I eat everytwo hours,, small portions,,, meaning a banana/other froot/ tuna/chickn. I just eat when I feel hungry,, and usually that banana or other fruit takes away the hunger. oh yea lots of water. I do take vitamins as well.

My flabby stomach has got to go..

30lbs in 2 months is still unhealthy as hell man. Shoot for something a little less self-destructive, like 8lbs of fat rather than 20lbs of muscle.

Starving yourself is not the solution. There is no short term fix.

That said losing say 12-16lbs over next 8 weeks, can be quite reasonable. As long as you are eating properly, and training properly, you will see significant changes. Those changes might even seem like the 40lb loss that you are looking for.

Plus developing these eating habits over the next 8 weeks, can be a transformation to a healthier lifestyle. So you aren't in this predicament next time around.

I was deoing that when i was about 16. Really unhealthy. You're always tired. You lose haqir, get bad skin...it's fast...but it really sucks and you always feel like ass
