Hmmm, usually a nice hot shower does it for me, mind you on a day like this I'd be more inclined to take a COLD one!

I used to sit in the sauna after my tough workouts. I could really tell the difference in how i felt if i didnt sit in there.

Hi Butterfly - Do you take glutamine? If I fry my legs they still hurt (still hurt a lot) but the difference is it only lasts a day now instead of 3 or 4.

The warm tub sounds good too though! Feel better quick!

If my chest is sore I like to do a set of pushups 1 or 2 days after the workout. This always helps me. Same with legs = light squats, back = light cable rows,...etc

    I can give a massage..when I want to.

NSAID's block a critical phase of the inflammatory process that aids in muscular growth, and can actually inhibit the recovery process.

As far as beating DOMS, try stretching, massage, contrast (hot/cold) showers, and light aerobic work of the affected muscle.

I just use heat creams such as Deep Heat and Dencorub. Have to re-apply every few hours and makes you and your clothes stink, but it really gives some relief, especially if you have to be active the day after leg day.
