how do you stretch in the morning. when i get out of bed i am so tight, im scared i might tear something if i try to stretch.

For people who do morning stretches do they do a warmup first.. or just not wake up tight?

I just stand up tall and stretch my arms out over head.

When I first fucked up my back, I did stretches first thing in the morning, but now I actively stretch them when I get to the gym. Not sure about stretching my back out the first thing when I ge tout of bed...then lets say I work out in the morning, but its not until 1-1:30 hours until I actually get to the gym.

P, would you say its ok to do static stretching when you first get out of bed to relieve tightness, then when I get to the gym later on, actively stretch or does one supercede the other?

Warm up first Starts with flexing/elongation of the limbs in bed to pump the blood around. 5 min after I've been in the shower I run through some stretches in the shower. I wait for the, "YOU ARE USING ALL THE HOT WATER." Then I'm done.
