    Maybe just genetics?

I've been working out for a bit, and while i started packing on mass, i've noticed some parts just arent growing... for instance, the back of my tricep that makes ur arm look thick(medial head) doesnt grow nearly as fast as the side of my tricep(lateral head)... The lateral head i've always had, and its keeps growing.. Maybe is it just my genetics that that part isnt as prominent? i have a long frame by nature, long arms/legs, but my biceps are pretty decent for my size... just frustrated.. any input?

Yes, your muscle structure is completely genetic. Some people have trouble with some areas. We all can't be bodybuilders, but we can all improve ourselves overall.

You can do 1 of two things: spend more time working on your trouble spots, are spend more time taking advantage of your strengths.

If I'm having trouble with an area I focus on that area for awhile and then it eventually works out. For the longest time I could not get my chest to grow, then I started benching more with more variation and bam. If you want your medial head to grow more can't you just do more tricep work that focuses on it? That's what works for me.

Isn't there any exercises you can do that focus on that part of the triceps?
