critique my routine...help

    Question critique my routine...help

    currently my full body workout looks like this-

    day 1-
    back squat: 4 sets
    bench press: 4 sets
    pullups/pulldowns: 4 sets
    legcurl: 3 sets
    accessories- bi curl, calve raises, abs


    day 2-
    deadlift: 4 sets
    bb rows: 4 sets
    oh press+dips: 4 sets
    legpress: 3 sets
    accessories- tri work, shrugs/lateral raises, abs

    2x per week. i'm i undertraining or this ok?

    Its not awful. Personally i would separate the movements between clearer cut "days", such as "Upper Pull/Lower Push" on one day and "Upper Push/Lower Pull" on the other.

    Also, what periodization are you using? Are you doing any other exercise other than weight training through the week? If not you COULD bump it up to 3 days a week, depending on your periodization.

    Your exercise selection is pretty good though.

    i like full body workouts. that why i'm doing upper push-lower push-upper pull- lower pull each day.

    and yes i'm going to increase this to 3x per week.

    I just think you could see better results splitting them up, thats my experience of this type of program anyway.

    Will you actually be periodizing your loading parameters? Since you'll be repeating a workout within the same week, i like to avoid overtraining by assigning a different set/rep scheme to each day of the week:

    Ie

    Mon - 4x4
    Wed - 3x10
    Fri - 2x16

    Or something.

    That way youre doing something different each day.
