    Squats

    I was doing squats and someone told me shift weight to back of my feet, it was hard to shift to his advice. He kept telling me to look up wtf, thought u were supposed to look straight ahead. Anyone have a pic or vid where i can clearly see placement

    I usually look up, when I started someone told me to pick a spot on the wall about 30 deg above parallel with eye level and stay focused on that spot throughout the movement. I never gave much thought to shifting the weight to the back of my feet or otherwise, I just distribute the weight in the most comfortable, natural fashion.

    I disagree about looking up, I think you should look forward. Looking up takes your spine out of proper alignment. It just hyperextends the cervical spine. The only reason people tell you to do that is to help you maintain proper spinal alignment along the thoracic and lumbar vertebrae. You don't have to look up to do that though.

    Also, you do want the weight distributed mostly among your heel/midfoot. Don't let your weight shift to your toes.
