How can you tell if you have a hernia or not! I would ask the ladie of the house but then she would tell me to stop lifting.

Depends on the type of hernia. The most common when lifting is when part of your abdominal cavity actually protrudes out. If you see a bulge that doesn't look or feel natural, that's a good sign you have given yourself a hernia.

This is a fairly serious condition that requires surgery to repair the tear in your abdominal cavity. Go to a doctor right away if you suspect this has happened.

My ex had one from lifting not too long ago, it all started with abdominal pains and then his parts swell up and he could hardly walk, he couldn't eat...and then no sex for a month!

Not all hernia's are visible, so if you suspect that you may have one go see a doc....remember that "cough test" during a physical? That's what they're checking for!

Well see this sounds weird but it was around my left nut. Yeah, Yeah I know, I said nut. I had my wife check, the coughing test. But she didnt seem to think nothing was wrong. Then I went to the gym today and did some abdominals. I always do one week with weights, the next with no weights. So anyways I was doing leg lifts with a 20lb Dumbbell between my feet and something pulled and it has felt alot better since, its weird.

Around my nuts have these rather large veins that tend to be more obvious when I 'push them' up. Checked with the doctor and he said it's not hernia, but some harmless large veins. It doesn't bother me physically but kinda freak me out at times mentally. I might remove it in the future. Maybe it's the same thing in your left testicle?

Buddy, I`ve got no idea, but I have heard of people actually twisting a nut, and if it doesn`t twist back, you gotta get surgury

I think the only way to tell is by going to the doc

I know of two guy`s that had it, one just said it was kinda uncomfotable so he went and the doc said it was twisted, they pust about a 1cm cut on the side of his sack and turned it back around ( later on at hospital of course ).

They other guy`s was badly twisted and went up into his abdomin so was a whole different story

IF, it is a twisted ball you really should be going to the doc. Are you still in discomfort?

I`m not trying to make you panic here, but IF it`s twisted the reason the twist it back is the keep the blood flow going....no blood for an extended period means you`ll lose the ball completely and twisting it cuts down most of the flow.

Both the guy`s I know said it happened in bed.....while they were sleeping.....just woke up, one was uncomfortably, the other in pain.

All kidding aside, I've hurt a nut before while lifting. I don't know how it happened, but it did. It was sore for a week or so, but the pain went away and I was fine.

If it hurts that much, I'd go see a doc. Don't go neglecting those testes, Mule!

I'd go see a doc if I were you Mule, it will ease your mind anyway.

Reminds me when my wife made me go to the doc. She thought there was something wrong with one of my boys because it didn't hang as low as the other. I never noticed it until she mentioned it. I scheduled an appt with the doc about a week later. I worried my ass off that week thinking their was something wrong with my nuts but come to find out it's perfectly normal for one nut to hang lower than the other.

carryingon with the testicular theme, ive heard that one testicle is generally bigger than the other, and it is usually one particular side.

anyone know anything more about this as i would say that my righty is atleast 10% bigger than my lefty - is this irregular?

i got operated 6 month ago for a hernia. part of my intestine made its way through into my left testicle. it came out big like an egg.

beforehand i felt my testicle slowly filling up with debree from my stomach, veines or nerves or something like that.

a trick the doctor gave me to find out if u have a hernia or not is,
put a slight pressure on either the left or the right side of the lower abdomen (1 inch above the base of the penis) then cough loud. If u feel a strange bump or something when u cough it may be a hernia. 4 MONTHS WITHOUT TRAINING!!!
