    Question a couple questions

This first one is for people that have trained in the olympic lifts seriously - what is a good brand or model of olympic lifting shoe out there?

Next, I know this question cannot be answered comprehensively over the internet, but are there any general tips and guidelines on how to properly track sprint? I realize it is very form oriented like any other movement and requires a coach to really learn it best.

there is so much that goes into track specific work that it would be exhaustive to type it out here.

it is just tough because if I were typing it out, it is very robotic sounds....arms are at 90 degrees of elbow flexion and move at the shoulder only, when moving into shoulder extension, elbows open up to ~120 degrees. arms move in a straight line, not across the body...etc etc...it is something you just have to read over and then watch a ton of people do it and start to recognize patterns and the individuality of it,etc....Francis does a good job in his book and it goes over periodization and track work,etc...one of my favorite books to date.

for the olympic shoes, you can find cheaper ones on glenn pendlay's site (don't remeber the name) and I believe they were selling some on the iron woody site (google iron woody weight training equipment or something like that).

Is it possible to get an olympic lifting shoe at a general retail store like Footlocker or Finish Line? I wonder if they would make a special order.

Some coaches let athletes do uphill sprints before they do regular sprints. Going uphill basically forces you to use proper (or at least decent) sprinting form: high knees, violent push off the ground, etc.
