Question Ankle weights

what do ankle weights help with the most... do the make you faster, or just make your legs stronger, or adapt your legs to new weight so that you feel lighter once your legs have adapted and you take the weights off? i plan on buying 1-25 adjustable lb ankle weights so i thought id find out what they do..

i didnt really get what the site was saying? how are the completely uselsess? i wont even get muscle memory from being 50 pounds heavier(if i used all the weight)? i could see how i could be wrong because im basing all i know on a cartoon i saw... he went to a planet with a stronger gravity and got used to it so when he came back to earth he was faster, could jump higher, etc lol kindof dumb but it seemed logical

they are useless for weight trainers unless they are elderly and are new to any type of resistance training.

in your case, stick to plyometrics and expolosive lifting movements like squats, jump squats, high pulls etc.

If you run or jog with ankle weights you could cause ligament damage !! They are basicall good for nothing. Maybe very light for rehab work, that's it.
