I was speaking to someone the other day who was saying that stretching after your workout has a very positive impact on muscle growth. I understand that stretching afterwards has its benefits, but i was very skeptical that it would make much of a difference in terms of muscle growth. Can anyone shed any light on this?
the theory is that by stretching after your workout while your muscles are warm and pumped, you can actually stretch the fascia that encases the muscles.
this will give your muscles more "space to grow" for lack of a better phrase.
many people swear by this. i can't comment on it's effectiveness yet as it's still a new concept in my training and i forget to do it sometimes![]()
