This old man with a toothpick always does a movement which I can only describe as "ballistic shoulder bounces" with dumbells. The total range of motion is a about two inches but gravity and the stored elastic energy in his ligament sure get an effecient amount of work. This guy also does seated dumbell curls which resemble more of an uppercut punch than an actual dumbell curl. His arm remains bent at roughly 90 degrees and his shoulders get a crappy workout is what it basically amount to.

Theres a guy at my gym who has to be over 6 foot 120lbs in his 20's and comes in and all he does is these little stupid dip things. he starts from the bottom of the negative position and jerks his body up without pushing up at all. he jerks his body like a flopping fish for about 20 reps. me and a few of my gym buddies just look at eachother and smile. halarious.

he also does the same technique with barbell curls. jerking his arms up and down from the negative no more than an inch each rep for about 20 reps. ive been at this 24 for about 6 months or so and he does the same two things every time i see him.

I was watching some kid in the gym at college, probably a freshman from the look of it, do the following routine:

Cable Curls
Barbell Curls
Dumbbell Curls
Hammer Curls

His lower back was also getting a great workout!

It took a lot of willpower on my part to not smack the kid in the face and just yell "STOP IT. JUST STOP IT."
