Crossfit....amazing stuff

Welcome to CrossFit: Forging Elite Fitness

I have been doing this to accompany my workouts for about 4-5 days a week. I have made some pretty crazy jumps by using this. It is my form of cardio. Its alot about muscle endurance, but then others is all about cardio. If theres something you cannot do (handstand pushups maybe one), then just supplement something else for em. But give it a look.

some of it is okay.

some good ideas.

very poor application and a lot of bad coaching at some of the crossfit places.

not for everyone.

I agree with that. Its definitly not for everyone. Case and point, a guy in the gym wanted to try it because he saw us doing it. He was trying to do hang cleans, and it looked like a type of a reverse curl.

the cross-fit hang cleans are fucking retarded....nothing like going to all out failure on an exercise which requires so much technique. The vidoes of those people training piss me off. Some of those coaches should be banned from coaching.

Crossfit generally pisses me off TBH. They don't really have any new ideas. They just market it as Crossfit and all of a sudden it's new and spectacular.

You could use some of the ideas they use in Crossfit, yes (already known ideas such as circuit training). But following Crossfit routines as your main program is just stupid.

I gotta hand it to them though: their workouts are usually a lot of fun to do.

Yeah, I think they miss the mark on some stuff. I like the idea surrounding certain things, but it really depends on what your goals are. Also, there is a serious lack in proper progression with a lot of the stuff they prescribe.

if you can't do the hang cleans properly or don't have good coaching it is not worth doing.

anything that is overly metabolic works wonders for BF levels. The fact that people think that cross fit is some sort of magic training idea is retarded. if I have you outside pushing the prowler 2-3x's a week, you will drop body fat.

This program specializes in not specializing.
It is the simplest and most complete method in which to train the human body in every aspect of fitness.

This program is for everyone. The load and volume of the workouts are always scaled depending on your level of fitness....there are Grandmas out there snatching thier asses off.

If you cannot power clean, watch some video, read some lit and take some weight off.
Dont just give up, that is not good advice.
Power cleans are your friend.
