ACTIVE RECOVERY - Ideas pls.
If my chest is sore I swim. If my back is sore I row. If my legs are sore, I run (elliptical - saves my knees).
I know there's a more scientific rational for recovery, but I don't know shit about it. Anyone got any thoughts? Stuff I shold maybe incorporate into my plans for the next 3mo (or so). |

There's a great article on it over at T-Nation, by Christian Thibaudeau. Plus, if you use the search function, there's some great stuff in this forum (in the form of previous posts).

Do you mean you are looking for cardio that won't make you sore? Have you tried any kind of circuit training? I like doing that once in awhile because you are using your whole body.

I used to get sore like the devil. Sometimes, soreness would last for almost a week. Then, I started Hypertrophic Specific Training. Except for the very first training on HST, I have never been sore again. Gains are huge with this program even though I'm on a cutting diet and do on average 60 minutes cardio per day. However, the last 2 weeks of the HST cycle are really cruel on your body. Perhaps you want to try it?
